✨ Key findings
1️⃣ Organizations are taking this more seriously
Both social innovation and HR management for people with disabilities were rated at a “high” level — reflecting a growing commitment among private sector employers.
2️⃣ Skill development and organizational culture are the most important factors
These two factors had the greatest impact on managing employees with disabilities. It’s not just about adapting the workplace — it’s about shifting the mindset of everyone in the organization.
3️⃣ Coworker bias is still a barrier
Even when organizational policies are clear, general employees’ understanding and attitudes remain an area many organizations still need to work on.
4️⃣ Technology genuinely helps reduce limitations
From screen readers to specialized communication tools and flexible work arrangements — organizations that invest here tend to employ people with disabilities more effectively.
5️⃣ Success requires action on all 3 levels at once
Government policy, organizational approach, and the actual work environment all need to work together. Missing any one level makes sustainability difficult.
.
🔍 Closing the gap in the labor market for people with disabilities isn’t just about legislation — it’s about how ready organizations are to design systems where everyone can truly contribute. 💼
.
💬 Technology can help people with disabilities do more at work — but how ready are Thai organizations to invest in it? 🤔
